“Write what should not be forgotten.”- Isabel Allende
I came across this quote exactly when I needed to see it. I love writing but when it comes to writing for my website and for others I catch myself questioning myself and pulling back. I wonder if it’s written well enough, if people are interested in what I have to say, if how I wrote is clearly conveying my point etc etc. I also catch myself frozen by the perfection bug. I procrastinate writing on a topic because I don’t want to beat myself up about it not being perfect and then going back to it over and over and over.
When I saw this quote today it allowed me to witness these things that were holding me back from sharing my stories- sharing the written words and images that mean so much to me and that I know are needed to be seen by others in the world- because they are my true-self words.
So from this point on I free myself from writing rules and perfectionism.
My intention on this website is to share what comes up for me daily and what I’m moved to write about daily. I’m fascinated with life lessons. And with every life lesson that comes my way I know others can share in my experience and learn their own life lessons.
My intention is to continue to guide myself home- to be the truest version of me and fulfill my life purposes. And that is my intention for all of you too….. that my words, stories, ideas, strategies help you become more whole moment by moment. Because that is the life journey.
Daily I think about the big picture.
The fact that we are here on this earth for only a short while and why… why here, why now. I’m aware of how I feel and I breathe into my moments. I revel in the moments. I also notice when I’m off course and misaligned with my truest self. During these times I feel frazzled, contracted, foggy. I know now I need to stop and meditate to get guidance on how to course-correct.
It is a process. And that is life. A daily process. I’m curious daily.
I love that reading that simple quote inspired me to just share.
Not to wonder, “should I share this since I want to include evidence-based information on the website too” or “should I just keep this type of writing to myself”? I’m just going to write and share, write and share. It is all perfectly imperfect. If you only desire the more evidence-based information then just read those posts. If you enjoy my go with the flow deeper writing with grammar mistakes then read these posts too.
My intention is to help you become more curious about your life.
Ask more questions about all aspects of your life and being. If we don’t question everything and sense and feel our own unique direction in life we will stay stagnant and off course.
I want you to do a 10 minute free-write right now.
Just let it flow. What came up for you while reading this? What deep things are going on in your being lately? If you desire I would love for you to share your stories, share your words, share your dreams, share your problems, share all that comes up for you!
